Great Wine or Great People?

26 Dec 2008I got a phone call from someone the other day and they brought up a question I thought I would post so others can weigh in…
Is it better to drink a great bottle with mediocre people, or a mediocre bottle with great people?
I knew my answer right away! Its better to drink a mediocre bottle with great people because the great people will elevate the bottle of wine. I’m pretty sure everyone has an experience of being out in Napa Valley and drinking a wonderful bottle of wine, but when they return home, it is not quite the same. The environment and the people we surround ourselves help to contribute to a wonderful wine experience.
What do you think? Which would you prefer? Leave some comments and share your opinion.

Bad company makes even the best food and wine less then desirable. Give me good company and even cheap table wine and pizza becomes memorable. The best of course would be a combination of both! Bring it on!

I think the people can make it, no doubt… Although, the people in your picture? A bit too sketchy for me…
