2 Jun 2009First, let me just say how appreciative that you have stopped by to check out The Georgia Wine Guy. I know there are seemingly endless great wine sites and blogs popping up everyday. It is quite the honor to have you visit my humble internet home.
So about me?
I discovered my passion for wine when I was around 15 years old and have spent the past years developing my knowledge through any means possible. I absolutely love wine books: encyclopedia, history or biography, it doesn’t matter, I’ll read it!
This passion turned into a career in the wine industry where I began with a job in wholesale. While short-lived, I learned a tremendous amount about the industry, the good, the bad, and the ugly.
I now work at one of Atlanta’s premier wine shops (Hinton’s Wine Store & Hinton’s Savvy Cellar) and absolutely love the retail side of the business. Everyday I get to interact with passionate and dedicated people in the industry and this only furthers my love for the juice!
In December of 2008 I passed the Certified Specialist of Wine exam and became a member of the Society of Wine Educators. I am currently working on the next level, Certified Wine Educator, and hope to have successfully completed the exam by the end of 2010.
Along with all of my friends and customers, I started The Georgia Wine Guy to share my passion with the world.
